This new, combined timer and schedule is a great idea from the US. A student's goal might be to complete a number of activities within a specified time period. The order of the activities can be seen and the timer promotes independent completion of them. The teacher reinforces the completion of all activities within the specified time and gradually reduces the time allowed until the student reaches the final goal. The digital clock, powered by a replaceable watch battery, can be set to countdown so that the alarm alerts the student to when their time is up or set to cumulative timer to store time over multiple activities. This specially developed programme simplifies printing your Pics for PECS images. It allows you to easily change the size of your pictures (select any size PECS pictures or larger visual time-table pictures, etc.), change borders and to add different captions to the pictures, ideal if you need to change them from English to another language. Images from many different sources can now be made into PECS pictures with ease. For instance, produce PECS pictures of relevance to you students by using pictures of familiar objects, people or places from your digital camera.

Card Creator can be used on PCs running Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP. We recommend you save your Pics for PECS images to your hard drive for use with Card Creator.
