S. Bondy, Ph.D. |

Andrew
Bondy has over 30 years experience working with children and
adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. He
served for over twelve years as the Director of the Delaware
Autistic Program. He has taught numerous university level courses
for teachers and specialists regarding autism, behavior analysis,
curriculum design, effective instruction, and functional communication
training. He has presented regional, national, and international
workshops concerning educational, behavioral, and communicative
issues pertaining to preschool children through adults with
autism.
Dr Bondy has consulted to numerous school districts and private
programs regarding the implementation of effective programs
for children and adults with autism. He has designed the Pyramid
Approach to Education as a combination of broad-spectrum behavior
analysis and functional communication strategies. He is co-developer
of the Picture Exchange Communication System. The system offers
a unique blend of behavior analysis and functional communication
training.

Lori A. Frost,
MS, CCC/SLP |
Lori A. Frost
is vice-president and co-founder of Pyramid Educational Consultants,
Inc. She is co-author of the PECS Training Manual. She has been
the driving force behind creating this unique system that allows
children with limited communication abilities to initiate communication
with teachers, parents, and peers. Ms. Frost has a wealth of
background in functional communication training and applied
behavior analysis. She has assisted in the development of a
number of training packages designed to teach language and academic
skills. Ms. Frost received her BA in speech pathology and audiology
from the University of Arkansas, and MS in speech and language
pathology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
in 1982. She has worked in many public and private school settings
as a speech pathologist.
As a Pyramid consultant, Ms. Frost has traveled across the country
and the world, teaching workshops on PECS and the Pyramid Approach
to Education. She has presented a number of papers and lectures
on autism and communication, co-authored several articles and
chapters, and is respected by professionals in her field as
a leader in functional communication systems.

| Sue Baker C. Psychol. |

Sue Baker is the Director
of Pyramid Educational Consultants UK. She worked as an educational
psychologist in the UK for over 20 years, has extensive experience
of implementing programmes based on applied behaviour analysis
and has worked with many children, parents and professionals
to set up and extend PECS programmes in home and school settings.
Following her organisation of the first National PECS Conference
in the UK in 1998, Sue established the UK base for Pyramid Educational
Consultants and has since been involved in developing PECS and
the Pyramid Approach to Education across the UK, Europe and
internationally. |

Teresa Webb M.Ed. |
Teresa Webb taught for over 20 years from pre-school children to further education students. Since 1992 she has worked in special education, with pupils with severe communication difficulties and autism, and in June 2000 won the West of England Teaching Award for Excellence in Special Needs Teaching in a
Primary School.
Teresa has used PECS since September 1998 and carried out an evaluation of PECS for her Masters degree in Speech and Language Difficulties. Teresa has worked as a consultant for Pyramid since March 2000, where she has been involved in training and consultancy work with parents and professionals both nationally and internationally |

| Zena
Barton (B.Phil) |

Zena Barton has worked
within the field of childcare for the last 17 years, taking
primary responsibility for the development of PECS in her last
role with the Portage and Early Support Service. Her experience
of PECS includes working directly with a wide range of students,
supporting parents and professionals to carry on the programme
in a variety of settings and running parent and regional interest
groups to extend the support network for PECS.
Zena has worked as a consultant for Pyramid since March 2001and
has taken responsibility for the development of the UK summer
school programme. She has worked developing communication skills
for students in Ireland, Greece and India where she ran the
first PECS 2-day training in September 2003. |
| Julia
Biere (M.Sc, SLP-CCC) |

Julia Biere has worked as a speech
and language therapist since receiving her Master's degree in
1987 from Fontbonne College, USA. Her work experience includes
serving as programme director at a residential treatment center
for people with autism and other learning difficulties, providing
consultation and training for schools and families, and developing
in-home intervention programmes for people with autism.
Most recently, Julia was lead therapist, working with students
with special educational needs in a London borough. Julia has
extensive experience of consultation, training and implementing
programmes based on applied behaviour analysis. She joined Pyramid
in April 2003. |

Louise Malkin
Louise Malkin completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2002 at the University of Portsmouth before undertaking teacher training at Leeds University in 2003. During this time she gained experience across the full primary age range and also worked with children with English as an Additional Language. She began her teaching career in a mainstream school in Kent, teaching 5-6 year olds, before moving to a special school in 2005, where she taught within the Autism Unit. It was at this time that Louise undertook her initial PECS training and began to fully implement PECS and the Pyramid Approach within her classroom, working closely with the schools Speech and Language Therapist. She also worked extensively alongside parents to enable PECS to be implemented in the home environment, whilst undertaking further training including TEACCH and Teaching Verbal Behaviour, in which a Teacher Learning Academy submission was completed. Louise joined Pyramid in 2008, and is particularly interested in how PECS and the Pyramid Approach can be used to enable students to access the Early Learning Goals and National Curriculum, and to encourage behaviours that enable learning. |
